THE BIBLE IS MY KORAN, installation proposal for public space - 2006 (digital print, 297 x 210 mm)

The piece is a play on an Italian expression that refers to a given set of rules as the “bible” of that field, as in the most important reference.
Here, by stating the obvious (and obviously it is to be read from the western side of language) the sentence ridicules the divisions between the fundamentalist obsessions that have spread through cultures and across geography.

Mattia Paganelli is a post conceptual artist interested in negations, contradictions, and vicious circles. His work has been shown in New York, Marseille, London, Genova, Shanghai, and Beijing.
He lives and works in London
